PREPARATIONS:
- please send us your photo and a description of yourself, including a statement of WHY you are joining the peacecamp: what are your expectations and what will YOU contribute to it . This will be posted in our blog.
- questionnaire 4questions4peace (your teacher will give it to you): please make sure to answer all 4 questions on your computer. Please do this conscientious, by yourself.
- please prepare and bring your own LIFE STORY BOOK*
- please prepare the assignments talks4peace*
- please prepare a culture evening* together with your friends from your group

Youngsters of four nations (Jewish and Arab Israelis, Hungarian and Austrian) plus a group of asylum seeking adolescents residing in Austria will meet for a 10 days' encounter in the solitude of Austrian mountains.
They will bring their thoughts about the concept of peace and about how they could contribute to make their own world more peaceful.
They will bring their observations about issues of coexistence, of discrimination and conflict within their own living space and share their ideas about complex social issues. A set of workshop will help them experiment with non-violent, creative and innovative ways to cope with challenge, they will face mission impossible tasks, discuss complex issues in "talks4peace" and "large group sessions", prepare a "show4peace" with which they will go on stage in the Viennese theatre "Dschungel" before going back home as Ambassadors of Peace

I am Evelyn.
Inspite of my age, I am still a dreamer. I can imagine a peaceful world, in which people of different languages, nations and religions share land and visions.
I believe in cooperation, coexistence, mutual respect, creativity and in the power of friendship and love.
I know that there is conflict between people and nations, but I consider conflict as a challenge, not necessarily as an obstacle.
I believe that one can find lots of things in common with people who went through totally different life experience and whose life is totally different from ours.
I believe that each single person can contribute to make our world a better place for all.
I believe that many teaspoons of mutual respect, understanding and compromise can sweeten the sea of hostility which brings about bloodshed, war and terror.
I believe that turning our forces and resources against one another generates hatred and bloodshed, while adding forces and resources can generate prosperity and peace for all.
I am very glad to be able to host you at the 15th peaceamp and wish you a good and productive time here in Austria.
